FAQs

Yes! Slipsafrica.com is the official online retailer for SlipsAfrica Flip Flops. All of our items are genuine and authentic.

Please refer to our Size Guide for assistance.

All transactions are processed via Shopify Payments or PayPal and are encrypted for your safety. All payments must be made before your order is shipped to you.

We work closely with Verified by Visa & MasterCard SecureCode to provide you with a safer shopping experience when using your card online.

All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer.  Additional validation and fraud checks are carried out internally.

We have a very talented fraud team that will analyse all orders before they are shipped to make sure your card hasn't been used fraudulently. 

 

Here are some tips to make sure you order goes through correctly first time: 

- Make sure your billing address is the correct billing address of where your card is registered too

- Make sure the billing address is correct line for line to what is shown on your bank statements 

- Do not use a proxy connection on the device that you are using to place the order

- Make sure that your home/work address hasn't been blacklisted by a previous tenant/employee 

- Try not to place multiple orders in a short period of time 

- Don't use more than one card to pay for an order if the payment fails

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Maestro, Delta, Electron, PayPal and PayStack (for African Customers). Payment for all orders is completed once the order has been successfully placed.

If you are buying from outside the US, your credit card will be debited in US Dollars and your credit card company will exchange it into your home currency at the time of the transaction. Please note that prices shown in € (EUR) and £ (GBP) are indicative only and the actual amount you pay will depend on the exchange rate at the time of purchase and your credit card provider.

For your own protection we take card security very seriously. Card payments can be declined for a variety of reasons. Usually the reason is the address / postcode / CV2 (three digit security code) number does not match correctly, so make sure you:

  • Check your card is not out of date.
  • Check all address and card date details are correct
  • If the problem persists please contact your bank or card issuer.

All UK Banks require that online retailers use 3D secure with all debit cards. 3D Secure is an authentication scheme that requires the cardholder to enter an additional password when they make an online purchase. The addition of password protection allows extra security on transactions that are processed online.

We also undertake rigorous security checks to ensure we protect cardholders as much as we possibly can. The Customer Service Team may email you requesting further information in order to verify you as the cardholder. www.slipsafrica.com reserve the right to cancel your order if our security checks are not successful.

Once your order has been dispatched from our warehouse, we will send you a shipping confirmation email which will contain your tracking number.

If you are unsure about where your parcel is still, please email us at info@slipsafrica.com and our support team will be able to assist you further with this. 

If the product you are after is out of stock on the website, you can sign up to a one-off notification to receive an email when this is back online and available to buy.

This option is on the product page that you are interested in, just select your size and it will bring you up with this option to leave your e-mail and receive this notifications.

Please be aware that orders cannot be cancelled once they have been dispatched.

Please ensure your email address associated to your order is correct and also check in your junk or spam folder in your email account.

  • All discounts are subject to change, We reserve the right to remove discounts
  • Discount codes cannot be used in conjunction with each other or during a site wide promotion
  • Discount codes will expire normally after 7 days unless stated otherwise
  • Unique discount codes are only valid for use by the customer issued 
  • Discount codes are case sensitive. Please ensure you enter the code exactly as shown to redeem.

Within your account, you can view your order history and details. 

If you think you have a missing item from your order please follow these simple steps: 

  • Check you order confirmation e-mail to ensure this was included on your original e-mail. 
  • Check all packages, if you have ordered a large number of products these may have been sent in multiple bags. 
  • Check you have not been refunded for this item, Some of our items are so popular that they can go out of stock really quickly. Unfortunately, that means occasionally we’re not able to send you all the items in your order. We understand that this can be very frustrating. However, we would have e-mailed you to confirm your refund for any products affected. We always try to let you know before your order is shipped that there is an out of stock item and issue you with a refund.

All of our orders are shipped from the United States. 

We can not change the value of your order for customs reasons, and the true value of your order will be shown on the outside of your parcel. 

The price of your order does not include Customs and Duties and customs will get in touch with you in regards to how to pay your customs fee. 


If you have checked your tracking number to find out where your parcel is, and it shows as delivered and signed for, please follow the below checks before getting in touch with us. 

- Has your neighbour or family member signed for this on your behalf? 

- Do you recognise the name or signature of the person who has signed for this? 

- Check your address on your order confirmation, to make sure the correct house number, street, postcode were included. If there was a slight error in your address, please check at that address for your parcel. 

- If your parcel has been delivered to a place of work, university accommodation or an apartment block, please check with reception and all members of staff on duty when your parcel was signed for. 

If, after these steps have been followed, and you still can't find your order, please email our support team on info@slipsafrica.com and they will be able to open an investigation with the delivery company and resolve the matter for you as quickly as possible. 

If you have received an email from us stating that your order was canceled due to suspect fraud, please email our support team on - info@slipsafrica.com - and they will be able to help you out further with this situation. 

We have a very talented anti-fraud team in place that analyse each and every order to protect you and ensure your card hasn't been used fraudulently and your details are safe and secure. If there is any suspicious activity on the order and it has been flagged as high risk to us, then there is a chance that this might be cancelled. 

We reserve the right to cancel and refund any order if we believe there is any sort of fraudulent activity on it. 

All orders are subject to fraud analysis.

PAYMENTS & RETURNS POLICY

If you are unhappy with your purchase or would like to return your items, please send your item(s) back to our warehouse.

Your return needs to arrive back to our warehouse within 14 days of cancellation. It is your responsibility to send the item/s back to SlipsAfrica’s warehouse if you require a refund or an exchange.

To process a return, please follow these simple steps:

  • Please send us an email at: info@slipsafrica.com and we will send you a return label. 
  • Simply attach the label sent to your email to the mailer bag and send back to us

SlipsAfrica does not provide pre-paid return labels; you will be responsible for covering the shipping costs to return.

Depending on the shipping method and carrier selected, your return package may take several days to reach us.

Please allow 3 business days to process your return once it is received by our warehouse. This can take up to 5 business days in sale periods.

SlipsAfrica clothing must be returned by mail.

We offer refunds to your original payment method on all full priced items returned to us within 14 working days from the date of your delivery.

Store credit on an e-gift card is offered for any returned sale item or items purchased using a discount code.

Helpful Hint: Keep your proof of postage and ship your return along with a tracking number as we are not liable for return packages that are lost or stolen in-transit.

Returns must adhere to the following:

  • Items must be returned in their original packaging
  • All tags must still be attached to the unworn item/s
  • Items must not contain any evidence of wear, stains or odours
  • If you are returning footwear back to us please ensure these are returned in the original packaging within a mailing bag (please do not just tape the bag)

*If the above is not adhered to when you make the return. SlipsAfrica reserves the right to return the item back to you.

Please keep an eye on the tracking for your return as this makes its way back to us. Once you see this has reached our warehouse please allow 3 working days for this to be processed (allow up to 5 working days during sale periods). Within this time you will be sent an email to confirm your refund has been processed. It can then take a further 5 working days to appear in your bank account.

You can exchange your item for a different size or colour (at the same price) by sending this back to our warehouse. All exchanges are processed in line with our live stock levels. If the item you have requested as part of your exchange is out of stock you will automatically be refunded in line with our returns policy.

We are not offering free returns and it is the customer's responsibility to send the item back to us.

In the unlikely occurrence you have received an incorrect item, a faulty item or something is missing from your order please email our customer service team at info@slipsafrica.com and one of our Customer Service Specialists will assist you.

If your tracking shows your parcel has been "returned to sender" this is most likely due to an address issue. If this occurs please contact our customer service team at info@slipsafrica.com and one of our Customer Service Specialists will assist you.
